For instance, the LP guide for Italy is great for touring around you. S .-side on trains and buses, but Rome’s specific info is limited with much less detail and enticement. Bonus note: LP has books like The Not-For-Parents Travel Book and The Solo Travel Handbook. But that’s an entirely different series.
Great for: Big picture tour across the entire united states for most areas, especially Oceania, Asia, and the “Shoestring” variety. New Zealand is the first-class ever.
Not so tremendous: They want to update their South America series. The most current edition for Ecuador lacked elements and encouragement to try new things, particularly for the Galapagos Islands. At a minimum, it felt like the white male writers phoned it in from their NY base.
